The Wooler Wheel - What People Say.

Don't just take our word for it, here's what people tell us after they've completed the event.
  • I just wanted to say thank you to all the volunteers for organising Saturday’s event. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed it.  The route through a beautiful part of the world was clearly marked, the marshalling was great and the water (and snacks) stops were very welcome, and a very nice lunch to top it off. Hope to be back next year.
  • Completed my first Wooler Wheel, fantastically well organised, bait top notch, I’ll be returning for 2018 event.
  • Great event today as usual, I’m impressed at the organisation every time.
  • Great day and well organised.
  • First time doing it, it was great – will definitely be back.
  • This was my first time doing this event. I was extremely impressed, well organised and not too formal. Having a hot meal & hot drink at the end of the cycle was simply the best so much better that a protein bar an a cold drink like so many other much more expensive events I’ve done! Thank you I will be doing it again for sure!
  • Thank you to all the organisers and helpers today. Extremely well organised as per usual. A big thank you should also go to Brenda and her assistants for laying on such a delicious lunch. Can you please leave the wind out next year!
  • First sportive, thanks for arranging and the help from marshals. Wow there was some hills in that, along with the wind it was a challenge, but worth it. Thanks again.
  • Thanks for another great ride, my 4th Wooler wheel. Great support and organisation and some lovely fellow riders who helped us with a wee mechanical issue.
  • Another amazing day, thanks to everyone involved for all their hard work. Can’t wait for next year!

Had a great ride on Saturday. Well organised and marshalled as always.
  • Thank you for allowing us to change courses today and also the ice cream vouchers! Also amazingly well done for keeping the rain away. Many thanks and see you again in Oct or next year.
  • Another great day out and a big thank you to all the volunteers that helped marshal and man the feed stations. The was my first attempt at the 170km distance and I’m delighted to have cracked the 100 mile threshold!
  • Me and my partner really enjoyed participating in the 60km Borderlands cycle yesterday and delicious food afterwards! Thank you.
  • Great event as always, went for the big one this year, marshals and food stops were the best. See you for The Classic.
  • Another great edition of The Wooler Wheel! Huge thanks to all the volunteer marshals and bakers etc for all their work and help.

  • A big thank you to all the Wooler Wheel organisation team and marshals. We had a great ride and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The signage was excellent. See you in October.
  • Was my first sportive yesterday and loved it. Organisation was brilliant and all the marshals did a great job and gave us a cheer and encouragement which was definitively needed at times. Will definitely not be my last event. Thanks Wooler Wheel for a great day 🙂 x
  • My first Wooler Wheel. Fair to say the 170 was one of my hardest days on a bike. But great! Superb organisation on all fronts. Friendly helpful people without exception. Brilliant feed stations. Best organised event I’ve ever done I’d say.
  • Did the 170 for the second year running, hard but well-judged route. Wife did the 60 for her first ever sportive and loved it. Thanks to all the marshals, helpers and organisers for their cheerful and friendly efficiency.
  • The people manning the feed stations were welcoming and the supplies were plentiful. Food at the end was very welcome and we enjoyed a lovely coffee and ice-cream down the road at the Doddington Milk Bar before heading home.

A great day out cycling around a lovely part of the world. You should all be very proud. As all ways a fantastic day out and great event ran by fantastic volunteers. I’ve done a few sportives and Wooler is still number 1.
