# Wooler Wheel Classic > The Wooler Wheel Classic is an annual cycling sportive with 60km and 100km routes through rural Northumberland, starting and finishing at Wooler Auction Mart in Wooler. The route travels through the Lilburn Estate, Lowick, Ford, the River Tweed near the Scottish border, Yeavering Bell and the Cheviots before returning to Wooler. The event is designed for cyclists of varied experience, with refueling stops and signposted routes. The most recent Wooler Wheel Classic took place on Saturday 9 May 2026. The event is held annually, usually around early May.
